About Us

Wilderness is not a luxury but necessity of the human spirit.

Edward Abbey

I have always found any outdoor recreational activity, be it camping, hiking, fishing or hunting one of the most exhilarating high nature has to offer.

Apart from many physical benefits, such experiences even touch your soul.

Keep close to Nature’s heart… and break clear away, once in a while, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.

John Muir

Being a passionate outdoor enthusiast for my whole life and being in the circle of other outdoor adventurists, I can convincingly say that such activities give you the fuel which not only set your day or days ahead but also our whole lives.

I believe that there is a subtle magnetism in Nature, which, if we unconsciously yield to it, will direct us aright.

Who am I?

My name is Ned a regular family guy who has always been close to nature. Born and raised in Toowoomba 100 km away from Brisbane Australia where a normal weekend starts with fishing in nearby lake or mountain biking over the trails. Later when I moved to Brisbane for college I also develop interests in surfing and camping.

However, we have observed is the decline in passion for outdoors everywhere.

Some of the reasons we have sorted out are:

1

Indulgence In Indoor Activities

Netflix CEO once said in an interview that their No.1 competitor is sleep and they are quite successful in it. Point of concern is if they are so aggressive in stealing the sleep time of their consumers then who has the time for outdoors. And by the way, it’s not just Netflix face book twitter or candy crush all such activities are dragging to an indoor preferred lifestyle willingly or unwillingly.

2

Want To But Don’t Know How To

I frequently meet people who really want to give it a go but their peer group and the surrounding are not supporting enough. All they need is a bit of motivation and bit of knowledge about the activity and proper gear required for it.

3

Previous Bad/Harsh Experience.

During our research, we have also found a group of people who experienced outdoor recreation but during that time they were so pumped up that they over burned themselves. During your first few experiences, it is very essential to know your limitation and better not stretch them. It is suggested to make such activities most convenient and most enjoyable. So choose your partners wisely and not try to make it to the summit on the very first go.

Other reasons for such outdoor burnouts are;

  • Lack of knowledge of what you are getting into.
  • Lack of preparedness.
  • Lack of proper gears.

That is when I found the need to guide and encourage all these people to make the best out of their outdoor trips.

I was really excited to start this blog, but to be honest, having no prior knowledge of this medium it was a bit more then I can chew. That is when I asked my brother to team up he is also associated with a digital agency so I knew he is the guy I can rely on the execution of this project.

And together we started passionate outdoor.
